I have an entire duck in my freezer and would love to do it on my egg. Only problem is, I don't have a clue how to cook duck! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Berky

    Berky,
I've cooked duck on the egg once and it was fantastic. Even better than that, the recipe was easy. I used a recipe that I believe was called "outrageously good duck" that can be found in the compilation cookbook made by Bill Wise. If you haven't downloaded this cookbook yet, I suggest you do, and it is located on the naked whiz's webpage (www.nakedwhiz.com) as well as the pages of a few other forum members who I cannot think of right now. It pretty much just had orange, ginger, and lime in the cavity of the duck and cooked for about 2 hours at 400 if I remember correctly. But check the recipe, and definitely get that cookbook online.

Tim M, I don't know. I was out walking Saturday beside a pond that was within 1/2 mile of djm5x9's house and there were all kinds of ducks around there still on the hoof (or is that still on the web?). Darryl must be missing a few opportunities here. I stopped by his house later to let him know about this potential bonanza and found him making sausages! Well, I walked out with a sample of sausage and a few asparagus from his asparagus patch and I had some good eating Saturday night. No duck, but the asparagus were delicious. Now to try the sausage.

    Tim M,
Well, the pics from Darryl are up! They look terrific and Darryl was kind enough to send me the basics of cooking too. Thanks to all for the help,I will give it a shot this weekend.
