Chuck's chicken
Here's a recipe for lemon chicken that we've been enjoying for years. Try it, you might like it.[p]1 or 2 small chickens cut into pieces
Juice from 6 large lemons
5 tbl Lawry's Seasoned Salt
1 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp lemon pepper
1/4 tsp MSG (you can omit this if you like)
1/4 cup vegetable oil[p]Mix juice, oil, and spices in small bowl.
Put chicken in BGE or gas grill and after chicken has started browning, begin basting frequently with mixture. Be sure to stir everything well each time you use it since this stuff doesn't like to stay mixed! Also, don't marinate the chicken in the sauce.[p]Let me know if you like it. We love this stuff![p]Regards,
Chuck Lane

Chuck Lane,
Sometime try adding oregano to that recipe. I use dried oregano, probably about 1 TBSP +...I go by sight. I also add a little butter....but I use a very similar recipe...It's the way my dad taught me to cook chickens...lemon, butter, and oregano! It does work! Especially when the lemon juice starts crisping things up in the end...nice tang to the chicken.[p]Mike in MN

Mike in MN,
The recipe that I posted came from my dad too. We've tried different variations through the years but keep winding up with this one. It wouldn't be great for people on a low sodium diet though![p]Regards,
Chuck Lane

Just had a beautiful porterhouse tonight.....Better take 2 Zocor's tomorrow![p]Mike in MN
