    Thanks AZRP,

I was headed there last year but my 9 year old had a hockey game and his mother has no idea how to get his gear on. I will definitely try to make it this year. Are you going? Look forward to meeting the Illinois (as well as out-of-staters)eggers. Perhaps our governor  will have some free time on hand (or not!). He lives in my old neighborhood!

We hit 7 fests last year and will be cutting back, but Nancy really put on a great fest so we will probably be there. I grew up just a couple miles from where its held. -RP

    AZRP,

I was talking to my wife the other day (when the wind chill was 11 degrees) and mentioned that one of the eggers from Arizona was talking about 30 limes falling out of his tree and making margaritas to go along with fish tacos in 70 degree weather. I love the Chicago area but sometimes....

Hope to see you in Oswego. I'll bring some margarita mix.

    Welcome from another Midwest Egghead.

Peoria has an eggfest. I believe it is the first Saturday in June. I have not attended yet but I plan on attending this year. Check with the folks at Hearth and Patio to get more information. http://www.hearthandpatio.net/

    Great looking family and food.

Let me know when you're ready for CRNA school ;)
  • Hey,nursing school is definitely stressful. I have been a practicing nurse for 22 yrs and my daughter just graduated in December. You do need things to reduce stess and eggin' certainly does that. Although I do enjoy it more when it is warm outside. We have been dealing with snow and low temps, not low and slow cooks! I prefer the latter. I probably should think about moving South. Hang in there, it will be done soon.

    CRNA school :(

I'm doing good to survive this

I plan to continue my education after NS. Just not sure what road I want to travel. Right now I want to get on a Med-Surg floor or any of the ICUs, thats if they will hire a new grad.
    Thanks Lerxst

  • CRNA would be great! There are some ICU's that will hire new grads, a smaller community hospital. The ICU experience is a real plus, if not a neccesity for CRNA.
And with a family will be a challenge. you definitely need the egg for a stress reducer. Good Luck...
