First time overnight
Horn Dog
Posts: 14
I have read a lot of posts dealing with the overnight pulled pork butt. I tend to get different views. What I really need to know is: 1)Direct or Indirect, 2) What should the dome temp be, 3) What is the average cooking time per pound, 4) Any other suggestions to help a "newbie"!

Horn Dog,
We do ours indirect with just a drip pan underneath. Cook between 225-250 dome temp. Ours usually run about 2 hours per pound. [p]~nikki

Here is a writeup on my first attempt at pulled pork. It turned out pretty good![p]TNW

Horn Dog,
We are relatively new to egging (less than a year), but I found Elder Ward's method to not only work great, but is a worth reading just for the entertainment value. I will try to post the link, but I haven't done this before, so I'm not sure it will work. If not, it is in the Recipes section.
