1. When scrapping snow off your windshield scrap away from you! especially if you have short shoes on. This one is courtesy of Stump Baby, thanks Stump Baby we don't get much practice down here in Georgia.
2. I fianlly bought MAPP gas, it works great! One suggestion I have is that you wear gloves, or a glove when using, due to sparks popping off the lump, they will burn you!
3. Thermapen! Great new addition to my bunch of gagets that I use while cooking on my BGE.
4. Dizzy Dust, so far my favorite is the one for Salmon (can't remember the name right now) I can really taste the Maple flavor in it.
5. Hamburger meat has more grease in it than most of the meats that I have been cooking since I got my BGE, thus making the flar ups alot worse, even if you close the bottom vent before opening lid to turn meat. Suggestion, wear the same glove as in #2 on the hand that you are going to close lid with!
6. Great folks on this forum! They are the reason I learned #2, #3, and #4. Thanks folks![p]Hugh, "Sitting on The Dock of The Woods" [p]

Dock of The Woods,
I have quit using hamburger all together for "hamburgers". I will only use ground round or ground sirloin. Season with lots of Cowlick Steak Rub (Dizzy Pig), some garlic powder and chopped onions, worchestershire sause and some bbq sause - wonderful!
