Kim and I have had a fantastic year, all told we made it to 7 fests this year, I think its a record. Anyway it was really great to see so many friends and meet so many new ones. This is such an awesome group of great people and we are happy to be part of it, so HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! :silly: -RP

Well, I made it to ZERO fests this year which may be another record, needless to say, wiffie and I still had an awesome 2008, not the least of which was getting our last 'youngun' out of college, in a house and married (in that order) since May! Since Hurricane Ivan flooded my "clay" medium egg and home (Pensacola Beach) in 2004, I have been busy building a house in Central Florida. We
will finish it this year. We have replaced the "clay" egg with a new large BGE and hope to have much smoke in the future years escaping into the sky. So, if you "nawthern folk" look to the South and see smoke, that's me, probably burning some 'chikin'.

May 2009 bring you all good health, good cooking and lots of love. Be good to your neighbor; take him a smoked drum stick or ABT.

Me---after paying my Florida PROPERTY TAXES, I will be smoking a can of SPAM...

Happy New Year to ALL! I hesitated tagging on to your post, Randy, since the theme was one where many of you folks met at Eggfests, so I'm sort of on the outside looking in. OTOH I did attend the Chicago Steak & Eggs, but unfortunately that format was entirely different and there were no name tags. Out of 300+ in attendance surely there were some BGE board regulars there, but who knows!
