I got one for my wife for Xmas, and she's using it as we speak. She loves it so far, though she's only had it for a week. I haven't used it yet myself.
I decided to go with the small one instead of the runner, so she could move it to where she was working, as the runner wasn't long enough to reach our whole kitchen workspace.
If you have a Bed Bath and Beyond near you, you can use their 20% off coupon to get one. Saves you $20 on the smaller one.
One side note - the dog has showed zero interest in it, which is good. I was afraid he might chew it up.

John thanks for the info. We have a bed bath and Beyond near by so I will go there.
