Need Rub Suggestions ASAP

If you wise eggers could suggest some good rubs for the following, my life would be a lot easier
1. Maple JD log with maple syrup baste
2. Hot JD log stuffed with red peppers and pepperjack
3. Reg JD log that I have no idea what to do with
4. Bacon wrapped little smokies
Also with the non-stuffed fatties, do I unroll them and put the rub in and re-roll, or do I just dust the log itself (that sounds dirty)
thanks a lot!

I dust the log. Most of the rubs I have are Dizzy Pig. I like Jamaican Firewalk on them.
Raging River is another good one for Fatties and those smokies with bacon would be good with that one. -
I generally go with hot rubs on the sweet fatties, and sweet rub on the hot fatties.
I wouldn't add any initial rub to the bacon wrapped smokies, but about 10 minutes before you think they are ready to come off the pit, give a sprinkle of brown sugar with a touch of cayenne mixed in to the up-side only.Happy Trails~thirdeye~Barbecue is not rocket surgery -
I like Billy Bones' Competition Rub when I don't have the time or inclination to make my own:

It's available at the local grill store for me too. -
Thanks
I only have the cowlick DP rub and so I guess any rub I would use would be made by me
Do you guys think I should even use a rub on the maple log?
thanks again

Absolutely. A good pork rub on a maple JD sausage fatty is just...mmmm I'm salivating over here.

Here is what I ended up doing
1. Hot JD stuffed with red peppers and pepper jack with no rub
2. Hot Tennesse Sausage stuffed with red pep and pep jack with my all purpose rub
3. Maple JD rolled in maple syrup and sprinkled with my all purpose rub
4. 6 skewers filled with lil smokies wrapped in bacon (9 per skewer) put on the grill with no rub. About 10-15 minutes before I pull I will throw on some brown sugar/cayenne mix and maybe turn up the heat. I like my bacon a little crispy
Also from 11pm to 11am I had a 7lb butt cooking with my all purpose rub, injected with apple sauce, jack daniels, apple pie moonshine and the rub. Fat down (wife's request) and just let it sit on there at 275-300 for 12 hours, my god is it delicious.
thanks for all of your help
