First Cook Since October!

It's a long story. First there was some bad weather. Then the time changed and I have no light anywhere near the Egg. Then it got cold. Besides which, I'm basically a wuss.

But it was almost 70º here this afternoon, rain was forecast but not until later, and the Acme had some nice looking baby backs for $2.99 a pound. So...

I pulled the old lump out of the Large Egg, filled it with new lump, set it up for an indirect cook on a raised grate, lit it, stabilized the temp at 300º, gave the bb's a liberal sprinkle of Dizzy Dust, put them on bone side down for 90 minutes, flipped them and let them cook another hour, gave them a good brush of Sweet Baby Ray's and let them go for 15 minutes longer, took them off the Egg, tented them with foil for 15 minutes, cut them up and served them with succotash.

I've gotta do this more often!
