What kind of chicken?
Still Smokin'
I remember reading a post or two where it was recommended to get a certain type of whole chicken for spatchcocking? What should I look for?[p]Looks like TNW is one of the experts in this area, I will probably try his method first of 350 for an hour, other than I may flip for 10 min. to crisp the skin if needed. Thanks for the help. I am gonna try the El Pollo Loco recipe I found in the archives I think. I miss that chicken.[p]SS

Still Smokin',
As far as I know the type of the chicken is based on its size. But what I buy are chickens in the 3.5 to 4.5 pound range. Did one last night![p]TNW

The Naked Whiz,
Thanks, headin' to the store. Chicken and beer, should be a great dinner. I will add a couple of side dishes to the plate for color!

Still Smokin',
Yep, a kernel of corn and a string bean will add lovely color to complement the large pieces of meat on the plate![p]TNW
