Peppercorn Sauce

Does anyone have a really good peppercorn sauce recipe for steak? Have gone to a couple steakhouses that had it and AlexShark just fell in love with the flavor. I've seen some bottled, but figured it can't be that difficult.

    MollyShark,[p]Try this one. It makes a lot. [p]To get a real good pepper steak, the steak needs to be PAN fried. Use a cast iron skillet and be sure to scrape the bits up. Without these pan drippings, the sauce is rather "hollow" tasting.[p]Stogie
    ____________________________________________________________[p]Cover both sides of steak with olive oil. Crack fresh pepper over each side and coat thoroughly.[p]Pan fry to your desired doneness.[p]Peppercorn Sauce [p]1 cup Beef broth
    1 tablespoon Cornstarch
    1 tablespoon Water, cold
    1 small Bay leaf(s)
    1/8 teaspoon Thyme, dried
    1/3 cup Wine, red
    10 Black peppercorns[p]PREPARATION:
    Crush the peppercorns.[p]Dissolve the 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in the water and then mix into the beef broth.[p]Bring to boil in the frying skillet, stirring constantly. Boil until sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.[p]Add bay leaf and thyme and cook about 15 minutes over medium heat, until the mixture is reduced to 1 cup.[p]Lower heat and add wine and peppercorns. Simmer for 5 minutes.[p]Discard the bay leaf before serving.[p]Makes about 1 1/4 cups.
