2 Butts Better than 1 ?
I'll be introducing a few of my Colorado neighbors to the finer things in life, namely Eastern NC bbq, soon. I have 2 8lb butts to put on but have never cooked 2 at the same time. Does anyone know if the cook time is affected by cooking 2, rather than 1 butt? I want to avoid 15 hungry and cranky people if at all possible. Thanks!

Tarheel Tom,[p]It may run a little longer. The main variable is wheather you cook at 220 or 300 degrees or somewhere in between. When do you intend to feed these people?[p]Elder Ward[p]

Elder Ward,[p]I'm starting the cook next Saturday night and was planning on a cook-temp of about 225-250. We'll probably want to eat around 4pm Sunday. Thanks for your help.
