You are very close, think about the actual firing of the plate during the making process. actually the unit called a "plate setter" is actually a "plate setter" in the ceramics business. it is kiln furniture that seperates the plates during the firing, bisking, and glazing portions of production.
gee whodathunkit?? -
These were just some frozen ones that were boiled.
-
Have you tried steaming them then slowly frying them in olive oil till they caramelize? If not, please do. You will not regret it.happy in the hut

I usually blanch then sauté until I get some color then drizzle with balsamic vinegar. someIf you add bacon or crisped prosciutto it is even better. skimped tonight

Check out last years Eggtoberfest recipe file. I do them with Dizzy Pig Shaking the tree with some canola oil over high heat. Turns out great.

Back in the day someone discovered these and we ordered them from Davens Ceramics down the road from the old mothership location. They were a bit smaller and thinner than the current ones made by BGE.

Dang,
Ya said "Snow"????
Gave me goose bumps, had to go and turn my heater on, put it to 78 as the house is only 70. When you're used to triple digits that's nothing.
Best Regards,

As we have discussed, chilly is 78! :woohoo: Anything below 80, we're cold! SNOW???? Heck NO!! NOT an option! That's why we live in So Florida! To those of you that don't, remember you live where you do...VOLUNTARILY! You do not have to suffer with snow if you do not Choose to do so! SO, enjoy the snow! :woohoo: We will enjoy the warm sunshine. :woohoo:

We could get an inch of ICE
on top of that snow. Starting aroung 3 pm today. I need to get to work so I can get home before it gets to bad. -
Thanks, For the heads up on that recipe. Now I can egg the whole meal.
-
Hey Rooster, where are you? We just got snow on Tuesday, and now we're waiting on the ice storm this afternoon. I can't cook til the weekend...gonna be 2 degrees for the high on Sunday...I'm thinking pork roast!
fc -
I am east of you in Peoria IL. So far no Ice but everyone is preping for it. It is only 17 Degrees outside and it is going to rain! We have had freezing rain or snow every other day this week! At least it isn't -40 like my parents in North Dakota.

Go for it with the pork roast. Large pieces of meat don't freeze between the egg and the door. -
Thats only 45 minutes away. You'll have to drop by.
