Butt a question

I bought 4 butts Saturday too cook 8 days from now (Gay old Christmas party that the wife makes me go to, I know they like butts!), should I freeze them or will they be OK?

Assuming they are vacuum sealed, check the sell by date. You should be ok in the frig for a week.

Freeze them.

Better question: what's the downside to throwing them in the freezer? They aren't going to freezer burn in 6 days.

If they are still in the Cryrovac they will be OK.
If you freeze them now you will have to take them out in a day or so to let them thaw properly.
However, if you are on top of the Sell By date I'd freeze them and hassle with the thawing processing.
Better question is why didn't you buy them NEXT week??
