Hi, all!

Tried pot roast today/night with Grandpa's Grub recipe Here's the pics...
Only had an aluminum pan, so browning was not too successful because pan got cool too fast. Wasted about 35 minutes trying to brown it

That's some good looking comfort food. Was the roast tender?
I agree with Zippy, he could take you.

He showed up at church today dressed for the season (less the shades). When we got home & he came in the house I got him to let me snap a photo. If he knew I put it on the forum, he would TRY to kick my *ss  . He thinks I'm really wierd taking pictures of my food and posting it online.

Hey buddy! How've you been? If you walk outside, some of the aroma from that cook should be reaching Lancaster about now  . The chuck roast was very tender and moist.

I am sure that it is  There might be a cory429, but there are lots of corys out there and 4/30/02 is my twins birthday so I ended up using 430 sometime ago for most everything.

We were out to dinner last night(an Italian restaurant, no less  ), with my favorite gynocologist(who happens to be my business partner  ), his wife, and my wife and another one of my sons, and they were all busting on me about my BGE obsession. I just chalked it up to their ignorance and "grabbed another heiny" .

Twins, Wow! Actually, my oldest son, when he was a teenager, felt like more than one kid. BTW, did you ever see that TV show "John & Kate plus 8"? They just bought my business partner's house and live about a mile from me.

Didn't ever see the show, but having twins has certainly been an experience to be grateful for. Especially for someone who had never even planned on having any kids. They have truly been a humbling force in my life(of course there are plenty of folks out there that'll tell you that its not been humbling enough  )

The bread was something my wife picked up at a local grocery store. They made it there-it was called "Mountain Bread". Marketing ploy, I guess. It wasn't that great. Either that or it's flavor was snuffed out by the great flavor of the pot roast

The food looks great! Much better than my pork loin roast from several weeks ago! Could use the son on the place for a few days. Got plenty of work to keep him busy! :P
  • Got in the post a bit late but the cook sure looks good, as well as your youngest does.

Glad you enjoyed the cook. I haven't used Chuck before, something I need to give a try.
