  • QBabe,
OK OK --- now how about sharing the recipe with us, if we can't have a bite off of your plate you're showing the world. We just bought some tuna steaks that I'll be Egging soon, and would love to try yours. Gracias!!

Big Murth,[p]Recipe courtesy of Leslie Glover Pendleton, author of Simply Shrimp, Salmon, and (fish) Steaks. I found the recipe on the foodtv.com site.[p]This aromatic marinade is used to flavor and tenderize beef in Korean cuisine. Do not marinate this longer than 2 hours, as the enzymes in ginger can over-tenderize the fish.[p]1/2 cup light soy sauce
2 tbsp toasted sesame seed oil
1 tsp minced fresh ginger root
    3 tbsp sugar
    1 tbsp sesame seeds
    3 garlic cloves, minced
    1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 lbs tuna steak (1 inch or thicker), cut into 4 portions[p]In a plastic bag combine all ingredients except the tuna. Mix the marinade in the bag until combined and add the tuna, coating it completely. Seal the bag. Refrigerate and let tuna marinate 1 - 2 hrs, turning occasionally.[p]Brush or spray grill grate with oil. Discard the marinade and grill tuna for 3 minutes on each side until medium rare.[p]Serve immediately.[p]Wasabi Cream[p]1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp wasabi powder[p]Whip the cream. Fold in the wasabi powder. Serve.[p]When I did ours, we had a timing problem and ended up cooking it far longer than 3 minutes per side. Got the egg up to 500° and cooked direct. It was outstanding, even overdone. Will definately do this one again.[p]Tonia
