hi steven. . .. even with 7 starters out, the caps are playing well, i was at the game last night. ..beat the islander 5 - 2. .. .even brashear scored (his first goal since last march).. ..i'm glad to see that the leafs hired ronny wilson as their coach ... .i've always thought he was a really good coach, first with the caps, then with san jose. ..(remember, he took us to our only cup finals in 98) ....

enjoy the game tomorrow night. ..watching our first line with Ovechkin and backstrom is always a treat if you're a hockey fan whether you root for them or not ...they are very special!!

i'll be watching on tv!!

I have conference scheduled out of town when Washington comes to Nashville in the spring. :( I've been trying to get out of it because I really want to see the Alex's live!! My wife is already dreaming about who she's going to get to escort her using my ticket.

That's like the old Leaf fan joke. My friend goes to a game with some platinum seats. They are playing the Caps and the place is packed and there isn't an empty seat in the place. Right beside him there is one empty seat. He asks the guy beside him at the first intermission why the seat would be empty. He gets all choked up and says "well, son that was my wife's seat for many years but she gone now" My friend says "I'm sorry but this is a huge game, couldn't you have gotten a friend to come?"
The old guy says "Well I tried but they are all at her funeral"

I was twelve when the Leafs last won a cup. Every game is sold out and historically they have not needed to put any talent on the ice to sell tickets. After the salary cap came into effect our reds (platinum, gold then red) dropped from $220 per to $195.
At least it looks like they want to rebuild now.
