Beef Stew / Venison recipe

Hey All,
New to this forum but I have been cooking on a Big Green Egg for seven years. But I purchase a Dutch Oven the other day because I wanted to try stew, gumbo, and soup on my egg.
My first try at beef stew turned out great, the flavor was out of this world. I did not use a cover on the Dutch Oven to get a smokey flavor in the stew. This new method of cooking on my egg opens many new recipes for me to try.
Next week is venison stew, does anyone have a favorite recipe. I have never cooked this meat before. A friend gave me some venison stew meat and I want to use my Dutch Oven and make a hearty stew. I only feed two but want some leftovers.

garyleed,
I don't have a recipe but if you dredge the meat in flour, garlic powner, onion powder and cracked pepper, brown, meat and remove, add oil saute a lot of sliced onion till translucent, add a cup of white wine to degalze the oven, add beef veal or chicken stock and return meat to mixture and simmer, you will end up with a nice basic stew with a rich, sweet flavour.
When meat is tender or close add potatoes, mushrooms vegetables and simmer til done.
You can add any seasonings you like and heavy cream at the end if desired.
