Egging in the rain

OK folks, what should I do if I'm cooking something low and slow, and the heavens decide to open up before they're done? I know that the BGE is designed to be used in all sorts of weather, but mine is not under any kind of cover. Would I have to just stand there holding an umbrella over the top vent, or is there another way? Thanks for any help!

Gwei-lo,[p]I have used a large coffee can with holes poked all in the sides to cover the daisy wheel. It got me by in a pinch in the early days.

Gwei-lo,[p]We don't cover the daisey wheel when it rains. Low and slows in rain and snow storms, but I honestly haven't experienced an all night cook with a wrath of God type storm yet.

Gwei-lo,
go to any decent home improvement store and buy a sheet metal thing called a vent cap. It has a domed "roof" attached to a circular band which even Miss Daisey will fit inside. Just remember it will get HOT!
