Southwest/Cajun Brine for turkey?

So im looking to create a brine or get new brine ideas for a southwest flavored brine with a slight cajun twist. Thanks

    Have you considered a regular brine and adding chili powder and cayenne, maybe a little cumin??
  • My son and I made it up as we went along.

    Brine for turkey and a duck, we will report success later this week.
    - 1 gallon water
    - 6 cubes of chicken boullon
    - 1 cup kosher salt
    - 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    - 1/4 cup Creole seasoning (Emeril or Old Bay)
    - 2 Tbl - Chipolte chili powder
    - 3 bay leaves
    - 2 tbl roughly cracked whole black pepper
    - 1 tbl cumin
    - 1tbl garlic salt
    - 1 tsp onion powder
    - 1/4 cup banquet garni (mixed dried green herbs)
