Super Bowl Party Appetizers?
WudEyeDoo
Posts: 201
We've been invited to a Super Bowl party and the host asked me to bring an appetizer (cooked on my egg). Last year I brought shrimp brochette and it was a big hit but a lot of trouble to prepare. I want to bring something different this time.[p]Who's got some ideas for a great Super Bowl party appetizer?

Kip,
Well, if you are only talking about little bitty ole appetizers, how about whole turkey legs? Nothing like a big ole drumstick and a beer to warm you up for the serious stuff.... :-)[p]How about chicken wings? How about turkey wings? Obviously Atomic Buffalo Turds. How about a bunch of ribs, but cut up into single ribs? Maybe some beef jerkey? [p]TNW

Those scallops that were posted here are pretty hard to beat.

WudEyeDoo,
While I agree sausages are good, I personally feel that isn't where the egg shines. Sausages have a ton of flavor, and the egg doesn't really make them all that better. Now chicken on the other hand, now were talkin'. I'd recommend either buffalo wings, or cook up some whole chikens, cutting them up, and making small sandwiches, or some form of finger food. I think yer best bet is to go with wings though.... CarWashMike has got some great recipies if I remember correctly.

WudEyeDoo,
These Armadilla Eggs (compliments of Kevin Taylor, the BBQ Guru) look real good. I'm going to do a test run on Sat to see if they are fit to eat and then run another batch for the Super Bowl if good. May tinker with the ingredients.

I have recently been using Chef RD's wings with a few modifications. I usually baste with Buck Creek Hot Raspberry sauce. Keep a cold one nearby.[p]CWM

WudEyeDoo,
How about a couple of pizza's and slice them up? Just a thought since I'm doing pizza for dinner.

YB,
Those were absolutely wonderful. I will have to make them again soon. I can not find the garlic and herb cream cheese though, so I used Alouette garlic spread. The shrimp chicken breast you did are awesome also![p]~nikki

WudEyeDoo,
Atomic Buffalo Terds (ABT) are always a hit and are easy to make. Just make sure you wash your hands VERY carefully before going to the bathroom.......been there done that!!
