Tonights dinner..... (Pics)

Well, I am finally back at school, and to pay homage to my egg I brought 2 1lb fillet mignon's from a beast that had been slaughtered 3 days earlier. (Lawrences meat market in Alamo is by far the best, however their prices are quite high)
I cooked them using T-rex's method, 750 degrees for 1.5 min per side... let sit at room temp for 20 min, then cook for 4 min per side @ 400 degrees.
Best steak I have ever consumer.... period. My roomates sentiments as well. I included a pic of a bean curd pepper sauce chow mein I made with it.

Joel Ferman,
Mighty fine looking sector of cow!
(You sure about "bean curd pepper sauce chow mein"? Looks like shrimp lo mein to me... Nothin' wrong with that either.)

Joel Ferman,[p]How thick is that filet? About 2 inches?[p]Pictures look great! I think it's steak time again . . .

TRex,
You know, they were damn near 2.4 inches thick. They were borderline roasts. Thanks for sharing your steak preperation method, I have to say, I was skeptical at first, but I can't even begin to explain how tender and juicy these steaks were.
