Never caught one before. I've got tons of bluefish but never a striper today was different. Almost all stripers and a few blues. Five of us were fishing and we started jigging clams and I don't know how many we caught the minimum is 28 inches in NJ 2 fish per man.We threw way more shorts back than we had keepers. In NY only 1. Odd, we were within sight of Coney Island but since we left from the Highlands in NJ we can keep two. Ended up with 7 stripers and five blues. After lunch we trolled an umbrella rib. First hit I had three stripers and one blue one the rig. 40 pounds of fish that will tire you out. I got the biggest at 32 inches, It is probably the biggest fish I've ever caught. Here is one of them. This morning he was eating clams. A very tasty fish. EVOO Sunami Spin and some garnish. Not a great photo but a good meal 100% egged as well.
