These little eggs are great.I thought that they were just a novelty at first, but I am really growing to like it :woohoo: I made a platesetter and cast iron grid for mine, but they are great just the way they are(come)
I just made some filet mignon, and even wifey loved it :woohoo: It only took a few minutes to get the little guy up to temp, then a quick sear, then rest, and roast :woohoo: I can't wait to try it again
BTW,I still love my small

I want a mini soooooo bad. -
Dats what I'm talkin bout
Got a mini on the way - I think you just showed me the first cook.
Handful of lump on two steaks cooked as good or better than high end steakhouses - that's ridiculous. -
You convinced me.Forget the turkey It is going to be a filet mignon Thanksgiving!

I waited far too long to finally jump on the mini-bandwagon, but picked mine up tonight.
A couple problems:
1) The dealer told me that they'd have the mini-nest with it, but didn't have it available when I came to pick it up (will have to wait for two more weeks).
2) The iron flow cap doesn't seem to fit... I don't have another one to compare it with, but it doesn't slide over the top of the mini... is this "by design"? You'd think it would slip over the top, and not just rest on top (I know, probably better to photograph than to try to describe it... but you probably get the picture).
I used it all the same... sans the top flow cap... worked perfectly... nothing too ambitious for the first pass... just burgers.
One thing I can say for the mini... it got up to temp very fast, and held temp perfectly! -
Doug, you are truly a 'glass half full' guy
happy in the hut

Wish I had brought my camera to work. I took similar pics of a ribeye last night on the Mini. Good stuff, huh?.

The question is.....can I put my 20 lb turkey in there?
No..not cut up in little pieces...whole
You should have seen the look on my wife's face last night when I told her I was thinking about getting a mini. 3 eggs? what do we need three eggs for?
