Egg is frozen shut and I need to start my wings soon for the playoff games. Any quick suggestions?

sean, if you can oven the bottom vent just toss a lighted Weber cube in and that will thaw it out. Even one dropped down from on top will do the trick, BUT WHAT EVER YOU DO DON'T USE FORCE or like one fool on here did once trying a hammer and now he has another vent!

    sean,
If you can get the bottom vent opened, light a fire starter and stick in the bottom vent opening then take off the daisy wheel.
    Should take about 10 minutes.

sean,[p]I just had the same problem...I dropped my electric starter down the top vent, put the ceramic cover over the top and plugged it in...about 5 minutes later it opened just fine.[p]That is a bad feeling isn't it, when the top is "welded" shut like that![p]Mike in MN
  • sean,
Yes, to prevent this from becoming an ongoing problem, you might want to put aluminum foil or saran wrap between the top and bottom when you are finished cooking.
