Slap your Momma Vodka Sauce Spaghetti

OK I originally got this recipe from watching Emeril Live. I have since modified it and now I made it on my egg. So here is it.
In an aluminum skillet (350 INDIRECT), Saute two or three good sized Shallots, two or three good sized cloves of garlic, and sliced Baby Bella in some EVOO.
When everything is softened add 1 pound of Sweet Italian sausage without the casting and one small can of slices Black Olives. one ot two level tablespoons of Basil or finely chopped fresh basil. Salt and Pepper Just be careful of the salt. Canned Olives are loaded with it.
Start preparing your favorite long pasta. I like Angel Hair myself.
When the sausage is done add on can of petite diced tomatoes. Let simmer for a few minutes.
Go easy here. Pour about 1/2 cup of Vodka in to the skillet. With a long match light the fumes and let the alcohol burn off.
Once the flame die down add 1/2 cup of half and half. Let simmer for a few more minutes.
Drain your pasta and add it to the skillet. Toss with tongs for a couple minutes.
Serve topped with Reggiano Parmigiana.
For you La Bomba people add a large dollop as the sausage is browning for that OMG good taste. It is still Slap your Momma good without it.
It picked up just a hint of smoke because I was burning new lump and let the smoke clear. I did have the lid closed most of the time, except when I added the pasta and tossed.
It was frakkin cold out there :woohoo:
