  • Q-BALL,
I'm not sure what they are for, but in my large, the indentations are up.[p]TNW

  • Q-BALL,
On my MBGE, if I line up the two grid "crossbars" with one of the indentations, it keeps the grid from rocking or wobbling.

Q-BALL, the drawing in the manual (in case you haven't already used it for what it is best suited for - lighting a fire) slows drawings that the indents go on top. Besides that iffin you ever extract the ring again I think you'll see the top (with indents) has a wider diameter then the bottom and that coincides with the upward taper of your BGE wall at that point.

Q-BALL, the indententions go up. Not sure if this is the only reason but, if you use the WOK that sit on the fire ring, the indentions allow the fire to still draft out around the Wok; otherwise the fire would be suffocated.
