I am wondering what to do with a brisket point I picked up from the butcher. I thought I was getting the flat or whole brisket. To my disappointment it is a 6 lbs point. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Slow cook it like a brisket and turn it into burnt ends.
After getting a nice bark and it reaches 195. Take inside cube up and get rid of any remaining fat. Wrap in foil and sauce and put back on end for an hour or so.

Well that does look good. Thanks for the picture. Will any bbq sauce do when I wrap it in foil?

Hey! I was gonna say that.

I prefer a sugar based sauce. Just what ever your taste buds want.

I personally don't foil mine - i use a dutch oven, but a foil pouch works just as well. I like to get a little extra smoke flavor into that BBQ sauce.
Use a sauce you like with beef - brand doesn't really matter much. Just keep it low and slow so you don't scorch it. -
Make brisket hash out of your point. Saute some peppers, onions, & potatos in a skillet. Cube your brisket and add to the skillet and heat all together. Place a fried egg or two on top of a serving of your has. Good luck, Tom
