egg cover

This is my first winter with the egg. So far, I've had the lid frozen shut twice, including once with wax paper in between the lid and base. I've been able to unfreeze it by lighting the egg from the bottom, but I'd prefer not to have the situation at all. I assume an egg cover would do the trick, so if those who use a cover would let me know if it has solved the frozen egg problem for you, I'd appreciate it.

If you dont have the egg in a table then a Large garbage bage will cover the Large BGE fine.

Aron, Take a trip to your local auto & boat upholstery shop and have them make you one out of the heavy canvas them make boat covers out of. Mine only cost about 50.00. Make sure to make it a little big so it will be easier to put on and take off. No snow here in the desert of Arizona, but it does a real good job of keep Mr. Egg and cart dry during our not so frequent rain storms

I bought a cover at Walmart cheap and it fits fine. Never a problem with water or freezing. Doesn't advertise to thieves that I have an egg like the ones made for the BGE either!
