Any eggheads in Chicago want to compare eggs?

Greetings all,
I was wondering if there are any eggheads in my area who would not mind if I stopped by and checked out their egg. I just bought one off of Craigslist and I want to make sure mine is up to snuff. I live on the far south side of chicago, so if anyone is near and wants to let me peek in their heater, I will bring the beer.

    You North Shore guys must have all the BGE in the area. I just bought mine from a guy in Glenview. As for the Steak and Egger, I was stoked to go, but found out I have to be at a conference in Oak Brook on Friday until like 2 on saturday, so it is not in the cards this year. I will PM you when my schedule clears up and we can work something out. Thanks a lot

    If you'll be in Oak Brook, you'll be pretty close to Carbonizer in Glen Ellyn, but it sounds like he'll be downtown on Saturday. I'm a little farther out in Aurora, but still relatively close to Oak Brook. I'm not going to make the Steak & Egg fest. I'd have to check with the executive chef to be absolutely sure, but I think I'll be around the house on Saturday. Shoot me an email.

    The other thing you could do is find the nearest dealer (you can get the list of dealers from the BGE website) and see if they have a display model.
