Burnt Cornbread

I just gave my first attempt at cornbread using one of the recipes previously suggested to me. I did it direct at 400-425 as suggested. The top part tasted good but I burned the bottom - despite only cooking it for 20 minutes.

Should I try again using an elevated grid? Or go indirect? I used a CI skillet.

Thanks!
