Thanks Big'n for this simple but perfect recipe, cut, stuffed with blue cheese, wrapped in bacon, delicious.
Sensing this may not be enough to feed the family :ermm: , I threw on some burgers too:

How many years have you had your fig tree(s)? I planted two this spring. They grew like weeds this year. I'm hoping for fruit next year, but not really expecting it.

I just got it in September, it was in a 1 gallon bucket, it's about 4 feet tall, has about 6 leaves on it, & produced about 10 figs since then, 1 at a time, so I could never scrape up enough to do an actual batch of these, I just et'm as they matured. I am hoping that next year when it actually takes root that it will be more productive, I don't get too much sun however anywhere on my property due to giant trees, so I'm not holding my breath for a bumper crop

I got lots of leaves and lots of growth, but no figs. Mine were also in a gallon pot, but were about 2 feet tall when planted. They're over 5 feet now. Maybe next year.

You do know that in PA you need to mulch that puppy deep before winter, right? Should mound it up or even better, put a wire cage around it and fill with mulch.

Eh. Where's the fun in that? :woohoo:

Beautiful plants. I bought mine at Monticello. They're supposed to be descended from ones Jefferson planted.

All right Zip since we have simular taste I'm not going to call you crazy yet. You wrapped bacon and stuffed blue cheese in a fig?!!! :pinch: I got two trees in the yard. One a smaller Turkey Fig and the other no idea. My equine vet gave me a graff and they are 1/2 the size of your fist. The great thing about them is they are every bit as sweet as the smaller ones! Shrooms on the burgers look great! ;)
