so you grow year around by replanting I assume.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time!

I stopped everything in the mid summer to hot. Now is when the crops start up again.

Al, you sure that is not the funny weed you find in grow houses. Possibly the secret ingredient in Spawn's brownies.--- The judges go woowie I hear!

LOL - that wacky-tobaccy grows wild all over the areas where I go mushrooming in the spring. Hemp farms were common in IL and IN years and years ago and birds scattered the seeds far and wide. Every once in a while we read of minor busts being made of people harvesting the plants - though they reportedly are such low grade it's not worth the effort nor the risk of getting caught. I kid you not one morning I saw an elderly woman driving a Pinto and she literally had her car stuffed with wild marijuana stalks. When we stopped side by side at a stop light I asked her if she knew what she had there and she said yes and she was taking it to "the cops" for disposal!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time!

Which gets thye user more wacky? the plant or the mushroom??

For some reason my boss would get mad at me.

Just planted sixteen eartboxes last weekend for the fall tomato harvest, love those boxes, Brett

You have your own farm. I have 4. Two will have strawberry's. I did cantaloupes last season, but they were not very sweet.

 Good one!!! I didn't even see that possible comment coming!
One time years ago I picked a few large "mary jane" 5 stars to show my wife since she never believed me. You would have thought I had carried 18 bales into our home as scared as she got that afternoon!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time! -
I think there is a pretty good sale on earthboxes right now.
I planted some ground tomatoes and some earthbox tomatoes, the in ground were larger and more plentiful. Still got plenty for the wife and I.
I also planted corn, very nice tasting one ear per stock.
Next year I am going to plant tomatoes like RRP does. I will use the earthboxes for something else.
I had a great herp crop in a narrow wide planter.
GG -
On the corn I only got one ear also and bugs got to some.

I've had better luck with the earthboxes and tomatos than in the ground. I'm sure it has to do with the desert soil. On the other hand I can get peppers to grow like weeds in whiskey barrels but they don't seem to do too well in the boxes. Go figure, we did strawberries, corn and watermelon with the boxes this last summer. Just doing tomatos for fall. Brett

I found that earthboxes, like Eggs, seem to produce more earthboxes or Eggs. I don't know how that works,

,
Good job, mine are done for the season. Next year I'll get two crops.

Hey Al,
Keep me (forum) on how this goes. I'm going to get a couple next year for sweet corn, berries and pumpkins.

This is my second planting. I have 4. Really easy to use. Did tomatoes, cucumbers, jalapenos and red peppers with good results. I did corn once. Got 6 ears, not very productive.
-
I might bybass the sweet corn, it is so plentiful around here.
Just will appreciate the updates.
Mike -
The only time we tried corn, the stalks grew a good eight feet, Very few ears, and when monsoon season came, goodnight. Brett
-
I was looking forward to trying it, but might use my tiller the old way.
Thanks for the heads up.

I have been doing my toms that way for a long time. In Oklahoma when the heat builds I just drag them to the shade...
The one thing you have to remember is not to put the toms in the same earth box unless you change out the soil. This way you won't get the dreaded brown leaf disease. -
I just put new soil. It's cheap enough.
