...a Man of pure, simplistic, genius. There are untold thousands who have benefitted from your ideas,...your's truly, included. Newbies may not know you, but they know your stuff! I hope you still lurk around here every once and a while.

Don't know him cuz I'a a newbie, but sounds like I need to know him.

Mike, C~W may lurk, but he stays away from here posting wise anyway. OTOH he hangs around the P board. We chat from time to time via email so the last I knew he's still kicking over there in the corn state of Iowa!

That pretty much sums it up.
Like Ron mentioned, drop over and say hi.Happy Trails~thirdeye~Barbecue is not rocket surgery -
Thanks, Ron.
He's a great guy. Sorry I haven't met him. Give him my best.

As a Newbie from Texas you should know about the Texas Eggfest held in Austin each Spring. Stay tuned for the date but the location will probably be at The Oasis
http://www.oasis-austin.com/
It's definitely worth coming to.

Hey, Man. I don't get out much, as you know. I guess I need to broaden my horizons. Please tell him he still has a fan in the Green Room.
Mike -
I'm in San Antonio, too, you know. We should get together for mammal flesh. Of course, I'd have to tell my wife.

Thirdeye,
And Ronbeaux too. They are both inspirational.

You bet. Let's not forget Ken, KOC, AAB (rumrunner) and many others too. You know, we're basically talking a ceramic cooking community here. Just like recipes or techniques, everyone has their favorites, but it really doesn't matter what you cook on.Happy Trails~thirdeye~Barbecue is not rocket surgery

Yes, I so miss CharWoody on the forum. When I came on in about 2001 or 2, he is one of many that helped me so much. While it's been awhile since I have been in touch with him he has always been there to try and help with whatever problem I was having.
I do miss him and wish he was back on this forum. Nuff said.
CharWoody, we miss you here.
Regards,

A picture of my long time contest cooking partner Mike with our great friend and cooking partner Char-Woody or Fred Meyer at the Marshalltown KCBS Contest in C~W's home town a few years ago. Look at the size of that prime rib C~W cooked up for us for supper that evening!
The gentleman is a real "class act".
