I only have a few - but there were many things served yesterday. For those who cooked - send those recipes in. For those who ate - tell me what recipes you really liked and who cooked it. I'll see if I can bug them individually if I don't hav eit already.

It will take alot of thought. There were so many incredible things.
I ate more lamb in a 48hr period than I have in the last 2 years. Some of those dishes will be on my short list.
  • Bente....your eyes are still crossed from staring at my peppers last night. You ain't got no hang over.....

I told you - after an adequate amount of staring - those were "poppers" not "peppers"
  • Sorry I missed getting a picture of your peppers. LOL Maybe next year. Miles out.

Hey Wise One, there was something called Matambre (I think), that was very good! It looked like a sushi roll except it was all meat and a little spot of egg. I believe I read on the guy's poster that it's translated 'meat sock'.

Also, someone under the big tent made some of the best chicken breast I've ever had. It was super juicy and was stuffed, I believe, with jalepeno and it seemed to be infused throughout the chicken. I'd love to get that recipe!

I made Shrimp Diablos and will get you the recipe.

    THANKS!

Thanks and thanks. Thank you for the leads on the good stuff and thanks for getting me the recipes. I estimate that there were about 500 different items cooked so surely we should be able to get at least 100 recipes in the collection this year.
  • There are two that come to mind tonight.

One was a Panko (sp?) crusted lamb chops or maybe a rack of lamb that we just happened to be at the right time and place to sample.

The second one was early one and was a French Toast dish that was a great way to start off all the samples that we tasted.

Thanks for all your hard work collecting all the recipes. And a big thanks to all the cooks for sharing the food and recipes with us.

I think the lamb chops with Panko was from 12step... I didn't have any but there were pic posted yesterday and I believe he made them at the after party (I'd have gotten one, except I took a nap when I got home and they had just finished the last one when I got there!)
