Hello everyone!! I am fairly new to the forum, have been lurking since I got my egg this summer and have finally gotten my login situation worked out so here I am!!!! I see some of you have been egging for quite a while. I feel so inadequate  but i think time and trial will cover that. I am from just a little NW of San Antonio, Texas, wondering if there are any other eggers from the area? I love my new toy, but finding things a little dry. overcooking?? thats my best guess. Anyhow, once I figure out how to take pictures and post them (yes, i am technically challenged) i will share some cooks with y'all!!

Welcome! Lots of Texas eggers here. I believe Lawn Ranger is from San Antonio.

There is a Masked Stranger riding a Lawn Mower near you.. HI-OH John Deere it's the Lawn Ranger.. Ok that was a bit much...
Serious.. no need to feel inadequate we are have all been in your shoes and survived.
For the record under-cooking some cuts of meat will produce a dry product too.
Any rate welcome to the forum..
Ohh look up the meaning of "dork". It might stop you from calling yourself that in the future :woohoo: -
welcome aboard
posting pics is not as challenging as it seems or as hard as the written instructions appear..
assume you have a digital camera,,, and know how to get the pictures downloaded into the computer.. after that it is easy.. let us know and we can walk you thru it on the forum or the phone.

Welcome this is a great resource with a lot of great people. A good way to prevent drying food is to cook it to the right internal temperature. The thermapen is a great tool to help with this(i am in no way affiliated).
You may also be doing something that is not ideal. Ask questions and it helps to read many of the great resource floating around. Good luck, Pdub -
Welcome aboard! I'm relatively new here, but the learnin' curve isn't all too tough. Just read the forum and take lots of notes! Here's a link to info on posting pictures that should be of help:

Welcome to the forum. 'Dry' is not generally a problem on the egg.
When you run into a problem just ask for some help. You will get a lot of help.
Make sure you check our The Naked Whiz site. TNW site has a lot of good information for your and other egger's.
You and other newer members might want to copy the list below and email it to yourself or bookmark this post.

========= References & Links to usage and recipes =========
When I got my first egg it took me a while to find all the ‘stuff’ discussed here on the forum. What follows below are links to some of the sites with great information, recipes and goodies/accessories.
By all means the references below are not complete. It is a good start and in no particular order. I am trying to focus on direct BGE products and forum members. If you come upon a site that should be included let me know.
Each of the following sites have great recipes and information. Some suggestions are provided but each site has much more.
The links below have much more than the quick reference mentioned below. Take the time to visit and explore the sites below.
