Likely to try venison leg on BGE next week. Any recommendations?
BTW, this will [likely] be the first item cooked on my brand new BGE. I'm nervous.

    Georgia Razorback,
Here is one to try. [p]I also remember for Eggtoberfest a couple of years ago where someone marinated a whole venison leg in a cooler. I do not recall what the marinade was but I do remember lots of onions. I do remember liking it. Maybe some else here can remember for me.[p]There was also the gentlemen from Tennessee, I think, who marinated some self-harvested venison backstraps in Dale’s Steak seasoning and grilled them at high temperature to fine Medium-Rare. It is still a taste I will not soon forget as they were simply great.[p]Hope this helps,
