I need one of those cool wooden things some of you guys have made for hauling your egg. Anybody got a spare? If not how about some pics?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Here's mine set up as a cook center for my small Egg.

Here it is as a transporter.
The Chicken Feet are optional:
Hope this helps.

Doug123 built one for his medium I think. Give him a ping tomorrow. He's only 20 min. from Tucker and might be able to knock one out from the scraps of his old deck. (if he hasent burnt the wood yet)

This is for my small, pretty basic. Will you be in Atlanta?

Your transporter looks great. The handles are a nice touch.
Yes, we'll be arriving Friday afternoon just in time to rest up a bit before the Meet'n Greet. Then rest up some more for the main event and the after-party. Then fly home early and do absolutely nothing for a day or two while our clocks get re-syncopated.
We're both looking forward to seeing you again, along with the hundreds who will be there and the millions who couldn't make it.

Very basic transporter for small

The purple, green and gold work well during Mardi Gras :woohoo: -
i made this for my large, any metal shop near you could make one. i also have a bracket on my atv it mounts on now for icefishing. with the handle up higher it makes carrying it easier, no bending down or anything, two people can easily move it.

Nice setup Leroy. What did you use for the legs. I'm thinking about copying yours for my mini.

i think the brilliant thing there that you can't really see from the pics is that the legs go thru holes in the bottom and connect to the underside of the top. that is a much stronger configuration than it may look like initially. i always thought the legs were only attached at the bottom, and that would be pretty rickety. but you have a much more solid set-up than it might appear.
that's a great set-up, because you get some good height to work the egg without stooping.ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
Thanks everyone. Nice work.
I'll see a bunch of you next week!Ray Lampe Dr. BBQ -
Thanks.
I used an old wooden closit rod (1½" I think). There's a hole for it in each corner and a block with a hole in it up under the top where it locks in place.
Very sturdy.
By the way, I just painted the surface where the Egg sits on its feet during cooks. The surface remains cool hour after hour. No blemish to the paint at all.
I also used some felt to line the edge of the hole where the Egg sits during transport. I had the tape so I used it. Doesn't make it go any faster.
I've since made another one that sits ready to go in the Coop. Here's a picture of it.
Spring Hen's idea. Of course that was back when we thought we may be taking the Small with us from time to time. We haven't yet but it's ready to go if we do.
I even covered the top with sheet aluminum.
Let me know if you need any other info.

And that's the truth.
The legs actually 'lock' into blocks up under the top making them extremely sturdy.
The feet are so I can track it should it decide to walk off LOL...
