Mini Heat Deflector

I am sure I stumbled onto the method for heat deflection, 4 pipe fittings on the fire ring, a nine inch pie tin covered in foil, grid on top, munchies in (standard ABT's with a chunk of cherry wood for smoke). The fittings lift the tin about 3/4 of an inch so you get plenty of air flow, think this is gonna work real nice. I am still astounded how fast this little guy heats up, I did the old oil in the paper towel lighting trick, stuck it in there, & within about 2 minutes the needle was mov'n & in less than 4 minutes it was at 600 with flame shoot'n out of the top - unbelievable (gear'n up for a big day in Philly, baseball & the birds, great weather, good food, world hasn't ended yet - life is good) B) :
