When I was cleaning the edge of the dome to replace a gasket, I noticed some writing on it. It went something like: MC Mexico 002-2. Is this possibly the born on date of my egg? February 2002 perhaps? Just wondering.

    I would think it is some kind of identification and or lot number.

    2/02, I wouldn't think so.

    My mini was old dealer stock - pre screen door time. What's that a couple of years old.

    The dealer didn't think much of the mini and in my case talked me out of it 2 or 3 times. I finally got tired of going back and looking at it and ended up buying it.

    I told the dealer how much fun I was having with it and how great it was and since he pre-sold a couple and has more coming into his stock. Out here for the most part the BBQ season is all but over. Not for me though.
