Have the vertical Turkey Roaster. Are legs down and wings up, or are wings down and legs up! Rookie BGE user...but will NEVER go back!
Already asked about the same question but said rack...guess I am a rookie compter typer also!

Mike Johnson,[p]Wow, James Welborn asked virtually the same question earlier today -- scroll down for some very important tips! Bottom line -- you might not want to do a really big bird vertically -- it'll plug up the top vent and mess with the dome thermometer.[p][Maybe BGE should build a huge Ostrich Egg model to take care of vertical 25 pound birds and whole pigs and so forth.][p]Good luck!

    Mike Johnson,
I think you'd be hard pressed to get a bird that size on a vertical roaster and get the dome to close. And if it did, it'd probably hit the thermometer.[p]I suggest laying it flat on the grill over a drip pan. Good luck!
