So I have 2 Stoker questions for those experienced users.

Question 1, how is it in the cold? does the wireless work well in sub-32 weather?

Question 2, Is the 5cfm fan good for the LgBGE or should I upgrade to the 10cfm?

Thanks

  • Not sure about sub freezing temps...we don't have to deal with those here.

Give John a call at Stoker next week, he should have feedback from users back east in colder climates.

I prefer the 5cfm fan on the large BGE, blows less ash in the cooker IMO. It handles the job with no problems.

Lots of people use the 4 CFM Guru, so I am sure 5 CFM is enough.

I have the 10 CFM fan on the Guru. Under normal operation, I have the vent on the guru pinched back to something probably less than 5 CFM, but I do like the flexibility to open things up and increase the temp quickly.
