Well, after the tenderloins last night and the 6 hour ribs tonight a couple of things come to mind.
1) It only took 3 days owning my new BGE for the thermometer to get condensation behind the glass. Yep, it got all the way down to 60° last night and rained. I will ask my dealer for a replacement.
2) With the flavor of the food coming from my egg, are you sure these things are legal?
It just doesn't get any better than this and thanks for all the great advice I have read from this group!

MrCoffee,
When you get that new meter, make sure it is the glass face (not the plastic). Then seal the glass to the metal with a thin bead of clear silicone seal. Worked for me.

MrCoffee,
You seem to be getting up to speed on the Egg in a hurry. Congrats!
Read below your post of being only 40 feet above sea level. Where might that be? Even so, you're still 46 feet above me!

MrCoffee,I took a hacksaw blade and cut a slight groove along the bottom rim of my guage. It drained quickly.

Shelby,
I live in Clearwater, FL at one of the higher elevations around. Are you from the New Orleans area or did I miss that guess? Okay, Death Valley?

MrCoffee,
Yep, New Orleans is correct. Death Valley aka Tiger Stadium is another favorite hangout though!

Shelby,[p]So, will the Tigers cover the spread this weekend?[p]Jim

MrCoffee,[p]We are just across the bay from you. Maybe we need to get a Bay Area BGEUG started and our own version of the Atlanta party.[p]Maybe in January when the Bucs are in San Diego. <g>[p]-b
