Hot Wings

Back in '89, I picked up a hot wing recipe from Ahab over on the Basso Forum. Made a batch today from a modification of that recipe. Don't know that I'd call it "better", but it sure was good.[p]5 pounds separated wings
1 cup orange juice (Ahab called for lime juice)
1 4-ounce can diced red jalapenos (Ahab called for diced green chili)
2 Tablespoons garlic powder
1 1/2 Tablespoons paprika (I use Szged (brand) hot)
1 Tablespoon sugar
2 Tablespoons salt
1 Tablespoon lime pepper (Ahab called for lemon pepper)
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
2 Tablespoons chipotle powder (Ahab called for cayenne to taste)
2 teaspoons powdered ginger (my own addition)[p]Puree chilis in blender; mix with other ingredients in bowl. Marinate wings 2 to 3 hours. Remove wings and reserve marinade.[p]Egg wings indirect 2 hours at 230º dome, basting every half hour with reserved marinade and turning after one hour.
