Way off topic but some asked about updated pics of the truck. the box and hood and back fenders are headed to the paint booth this week. the only thing we did to change it was drop it 3 inches. 351 Windsor, Blah, blah, Blah! :silly: stroked, boarded. maybe fluffed and powered LOL I don't know it all yet. the Cobra I can recite in my sleep. To make it a little on topic the mini egg will have it's own carrier color coordinated to travel with it. the bed of the box is going to be oak from Neils dads farm in PA. Notice the freakin' back window is still not in it.

the seats are out of a wrecked ford f-150 King Ranch.
That is what I drive and I just love the seats. The color is perfect with the paint. we bought them in PA when we were there on vacation 2 years ago and the family thought we were nuts! LOL maybe so :woohoo:

That is going to be a good looking truck.A good friend has restored alot of old trucks. The last one was a 50 chevy with a 350 motor.I would like to find a 66 chevy 2 with a 327-350 four speed to restore.I had a 66 chiville with a 427 around 650 hp back in the 60's.

Cool - thanks for posting. Will it be a driver or a trailer queen?

Me, my Dad, and my brother restored a 66 Chevy II back in the late 80s. It became my brothers first car when he turned 16. Beautiful red color with a 355 bored 30 over.

My brother eventually turned it into a street legal drag racer that would snap your head back if you even looked at the gas pedal.

LOL nope a driver. we are painting a '57 12 foot scotty camper to match and haul behind it. although last night Neil said he can understand why some do get to be trailer queens.
When we went to Ohio with our Cobra for the Cobra meet we hauled the Cobra down. it was embarrassing pulling in with the car hauler behind us but going 1000 miles with my butt 4 inches from the ground was not an option, this girl is to old and smart for that! ;) And we were not the only ones.
The cover to the garage door opener fell off the day after we brought the cab home from being painted and it scratched the top of the cab. I thought Neil was going to throw up all over the floor :pinch: I will post pics in a few weeks when the box and hood get put on. it is really, really pretty and he is doing a great job on it. he is out in the garage at 3:30-4 every morning working on it. we hope to have it done to take to FL. if we do we will bring it to Ocala. so I will be very easy to find! the grinning fool in the old truck LOL

LOL that is great Rod. I think it is so important for boys (and girls) to get a little greasy growing up. those are memories that are going to be getting rarer and rarer the way this world is going.
We have a Mustang that is scary to drive. it takes about a half a gallon of gas to get to the foot of the drive way :ermm: and our drive way is short :( still needs all the body work done and it is in the back of the garage now. to crazy to drive.

what year Cobra? That's a sweet car! I agree 1,000 miles would be punishment not pleasure.

It is a replica/kit car that we built. Hate the word "Kit Car" as it doe not give you any idea how much work goes into them. we did the whole thing ground up. the body is not painted all fiberglass and the color is embedded in it. No paint chips just buff it out :)so that is very cool. a friend who has one panic's every time he drives his, there is always a new stone chip. part of driving in Maine. This is not a good pic. but the only one on this PC. the plates mean "snake bite"
