The writer, David Foster Wallace, died the other day at 46. Don't know if anyone else here digs his stuff, but he was often described as "the most important writer of his generation" (though perhaps not evidenced by the light article linked above). and now he's dead. offed himself too. too much talent, or not enough. who knows.

Pynchon has some great prose re: bananas. if he kicks it, i apologize in advance.
