Melt in your mouth turkey

Why do we wait till Nov to cook a turkey! We did one yesterday for my dads bday, as I had posted yesterday about the set up. It melted on your mouth. The gravy was delishis and the turkey was wonderful. It was a small bird, 10 pounds and we have plenty for lunch today for all of us. and talk about a cheep meal!

Turkey omlets or turkey hash for breakfast? Grilled turkey melts or clubs? So many desisions, so early in the day. lol..

Sounds wonderful! I Egg a smallish turkey about once a month. My family loves it for dinner and turkey hash and sandwiches the next day are awesome.

Dinner tonight is sourdough bread with slices of turkey and fresh tomatoes and Swiss cheese and fresh herb mayo. maybe a few bacon slices just to keep it from being to healthy LOL :ohmy: LOL Julie

Julie, was this a frozen or fresh turkey? Our grocery stores only have frozen and our favorite meat market seems to only get fresh at Thanksgiving time.

Frozen :S probably why I have a head ache today but it was good. We have a farmer that we get fresh from at thanksgiving time. 25-28 pounds This was a last minute thing so I thought, Just this once... I should know better. fresh is so much better once you have it.
