I ordered what I thought was an ET 73, It arrived today and was an ET 7. I paid 39.99 for it. Is the ET 7 a good unit ? Should I just keep it,or send it back and get the ET 73 ?

I'm not a big (or little) fan of Maverick's thermometers. However, the ET-7 has two food probes while the ET-73 has a food and a pit probe. Most of the guys and gals use the ET-73......depends on what you want to do. The two food probes are pretty handy when you're doing two butts, especially if they are different sizes.

Mine wasn't. Just OK. Batteries went bad quick, real quick.
Short range, two food probes, no alarms plus more.
My '7' was ok and I used it. Finally one probe went out, which could have been my fault, but out is out.
I got the 73 and it is a completely different experience. I really like the 73.
It is possible my 7 was a bad unit. I have heard a lot of complaints about 73 for other folks, but that is not my experience.
You can get the 73 for the same price online. From my experience, I would return the 7 and get a 73 if the return was not too expensive.

Thanks, The 7 is going back. I hooked up the probes brought the remote in the house and lost the signal. Just testit. wasn't in any meat.

I could go 1 room deep in the house with the 7. The 73 I have will travel through the complete house and basement. Outside I can go anywhere in the front or back yard.
Here is a link for a 73 online $39.99

Get the ET-73 from Amazon for $39.76 and free shipping if you are a Prime member. What slowed me down on finding this one is that the description ET-73 is in the Product Details.

I just noticed that it is available for the 4 for 3 promotion. Buy 4 and get them for the price of three or buy three other things. No, I have no afiliation with Amazon!
