BBQ Chicken Pizza

First attempt at a homemade bbq pizza. I actually made two that were identical, pretty good I thought for a first try.

I used a store bought crust (Mama something?), 4-cheese alfredo sauce, Sweet Baby Ray's Spicy & Sweet, basil, fresh garlic, sauteed onions, green peppers, red peppers and grilled chicken loaded up with a bunch of mozzarella cheese.

I didn't cook it on the pan in the picture or in foil (that was there for transporting to work the next day). I cooked it on the BGE Stone raised with a couple bricks above my platesetter.




  • Looks great! How did it taste? I haven't had much luck with pizza. Time to try again soon.
  • It tasted alright. My wife liked it a lot more than me but I'm probably more critical since I made it myself. I used a lot of the lump that was in there from the previous cook and there was some Jack Daneil's wood chips in there. I didn't care for that scent/flavor with the pizza, but other than that it was okay. Next time I may skip the garlic, didn't come out as exciting as I had hoped.
