I registered for the Eggfest to attend Saturday with my son in law, and to purchase one of the eggs.

I used Discover for the payment. Later, I received a call from Discover saying that I had a charge to my account through PayPal for a cash advance using a different account than my PayPal account and that the charges were denied. Why are you using PayPal for a cash advance on credit cards? Just use a regular credit charge.

I want to make sure I am registered and not twice, and get the charges correct. Can you check my registration and see if I need to do anything. This is very confusing the way you have the charges set up. If you want to use Paypal, why not offer that as a payment option as well?

I feel like you need to rethink the way you are taking peoples money.

    AUoldphart50,

You are registered. I did not see two; however, as you learned, your payment apparently did not go through. I don't know why. Paypal provides an API for accepting credit card payments directly in addition to using Paypal. We did not have time this year to implement any but the credit card option. Next year, we will implement the Paypal option also. To get your payment completed, I suggest using a different card (though I don't know why the Discover card would be denied); or, if you prefer, you can contact Jodi at BGE and make your payment directly instead of online.
